Installation of the TARGIT Custom SSIS Package

First, the Custom SSIS Tasks need to be installed on the computer running the SQL Server 2012.

Log on to http://www.mytargit.com. Go to the Download Center, click Other Downloads and run the installation of TARGIT Custom SSIS Tasks for Microsoft SQL Server 2012.

Notice! Close the SQL Server Data Tools prior to installing the Custom SSIS Tasks.

Notice! Depending on security settings on your operating system, the downloaded file may no install out of the box. In that case, you should look into file properties to Unblock the file.

Once the installation has been completed, re-open SQL Server Data Tools and go to the SSIS package that we created in the previous lesson. From the SSIS Toolbox we can now see that a number of new, custom SSIS tasks have been added to the list of Common tasks.
