Make it Easier to See User Permissions in Subfolders in Targit Management

📢 Why This Matters: Currently, administrators must manually expand each folder hierarchy to see if a user's permissions change in any subfolders. This is not just tedious but poses a security risk: it's easy to overlook that a user might have extra permissions in a buried subfolder, potentially exposing sensitive data.

🛠️ Suggested Feature: Introduce a simple visual indicator or badge next to a folder to show if any subfolder contains different user permissions from the parent folder. This would enable administrators to see at a glance where they need to check permissions, saving time and enhancing security.

🌟 Benefits:

  1. Enhanced Security: Quickly identify areas that may need permission adjustments, reducing the risk of unauthorized data access.
  2. Efficiency: Admins can immediately see where they need to take action, without having to go through each folder manually.
  3. Ease of Use: This would make the Targit Management system more user-friendly, encouraging correct and effective use of the permissions system.

  • Further idea to be considered: Option to expand all non-inherit folders.

  • Thanks for the input Ole! :)

As an additional feature that would be fine - But personally that would be a less valuable option than "a badge next to a folder to show if any subfolder contains different user permissions from the parent folder".

With a portal and folder solution that we currently have set up, I'm afraid it would still make it hard to get a quick overview of a users folder permissions.
