Customizable Free Text for Information Button (i) in Targit BI Object Bars

๐Ÿ“ข Quick Summary:

In Targit BI, the current information button (i) in object bars is limited to predefined criteria, which may not always be relevant or helpful for our users. We propose an enhancement to allow for customizable free text in this space.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Proposed Change:

Enable dashboard designers to add their own explanatory text to the information button (i) in object bars. Instead of being restricted to default criteria, this feature would allow us to input text that explains the object more clearly to the user. For instance, we could guide users on how to interpret the data presented in the object.

๐ŸŒŸ Potential Benefits:

  1. Enhanced Clarity and User Understanding: Combining context-specific explanations with user-focused content empowers users with clearer, more insightful data interpretations, enhancing their overall experience and decision-making process.
  2. Flexibility: This feature grants designers the creative freedom to tailor information to the unique needs and understanding levels of their audience.

Your ๐Ÿ‘ can help evolve the information (i) button into a powerful, user-friendly feature.ย

  • Hi Morten,

You can add a 'Custom explanation' from the left Properties panel in the Designer client.

The custom explanation will then appear with the object's info button - however still together with the criteria information.

  • Hi Ole

Thanks! - That is good to know.

We still wish for a toggleย  to turn on/off the criteria informations appearing together with the custom explanation.

    Best regards
