Change existing Database Connections Providertype.

What is the best practice on changing an exixting database connection's providertype from the general
"MS Analysis Service" or "MS Analysis Service 2012" to "MS Analysis Services Tabular"?

We have several existing connections, that have been created before the Tabular connection were possible, or created, because the choise of "default measurer" does not exist in Tabular connection, and therefore the performance is really bad in the criteriabar.

However, some of them are ready to be changed, but how to?

You can not just create a new one, rename the old, and then rename the new to the old name, especially if you have used Decorations such as Dynamic time.

Do anyone have a suggestion on how to do it, so existing reports etc. keeps working.
