Default behaviour on Export to Excel/PDF should be changed
When you set up an export to Excel or PDF as a menu button, you typically want to export the current (active) document and not another document.
The default trigger should be export active document to excel/pdf.

I'm not sure I agree, you can export all documents at once by clicking on the File ribbon and selecting the format you want (excel, ppt, pdf, image). If you just want an excel (or csv) export for a single object this is already possible using current functionality. Users can right click on a single object you want to export and select Data, then select Export, then select the format of the file to be exported. I tried to include a screen shot but even though the file is png and only 42kb I get an error saying it's too large.
Hi Dave,
It may not be clear from initial post, but the feature request is about the built-in PDF and Excel buttons that you can apply in a Menu object. See screenshot.
Currently, you can only use these by first select a specific document, and then afterwards change the trigger option to 'current document'. The feature request is about defaulting to the latter option.

Thanks, I didn't realize the question was specific to the menu buttons.
