Format Visibility - Hide measures in range of hierarchy levels

I have a image of a crosstab attached, which has a 2-level hierarchy on the top (Template>Batch). Every dimension has 2 measures.

As you can see the first Level 1 (Template)-dimension 'BUDGET' never has a value in the 'Qty Projection' measure but has some in 'Qty Budget'. With the 'FLOCK' dimension it is the other way around.
I tried to hide the Qty Projection with Format Visibility Range:
Select Level: Template.
1 From the First -> 1 From the First
What it does is to hide Qty Projection only for the first child of every Template-dimension.

Can you implement a Visibility range to hide all measures for the range of top level members? Meaning that when I select Select Level: Only Template. and say hide Qty Projection rangeĀ 1 From the First -> 1 From the First then the measure Qty Projection will be hidden in all underlying dimensions of the first Template.

  • Hi Dirk,

I am sorry, but with the current Visibility options, there is no dynamic way to do what you are requesting.

You can, however, add as many "Hide for a range of..." as you like.

E.g., for measure 1 you can hide from [1 from first to 1 from first] on the Template level and then add another "Hide for a range of..." hide from [1 from first to 2 from first] on the Batch level.

Likewise with the other measure, where I think you should use [2 from first to 2 from first] on the Template level and [3 from first to 4 from first] on the Batch level.
