Use button to apply filter. Use another button to undo the filter setting.

In a dashboard, you can design a button with a trigger of type 'Update global criteria' to apply an additional filter to your dashboard. Next to this button, you can design another button that removes the filter that was just set.

Including all dimensions from the relevant cube:

When triggered, the local criteria (in addition to any other global criteria) will be elevated to global criteria.

If you do not wish drill down criteria to be elevated to global criteria, you should set the buttons criteria behavior to 'Ignore drills':

Button 2: Removing the filter

The second button does not have any local criteria.

The 'Update global criteria' trigger and 'Ignore drills' have been set up identical to the first button.

The second button should Ignore filters from the dimension that was used as local criteria in the first button:
