How to Reuse an Analysis Between BA and BA_Archiv Databases (Identical Cubes, Different Historical Data)
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the reuse of analyses in TARGIT across different databases.
In our setup, we have a main database (let’s call it BA) with a cube (Cube A), where we have created several reports/analyses.
We also have an archive database that contains the same cube structure (Cube A) but with a longer data history (including older years).
Is there a simple way to copy or move a report/analysis from the main BA database to the archive database, so that it works directly on the archive data? Or is it necessary to completely rebuild the analysis from scratch in the archive database, even if the cube structure is identical in both databases?
Any tips, best practices, or workarounds would be much appreciated.

Hi Mirza,
I am not sure if this works, but perhaps by changing all cube references in the copied / new VFS file? When I open a VFS using notepad I see the following information:
<defaultcube>
