Dynamic Captions for Slicer Dimension
Is it possible to change the “select ...” title in the slicer with a dynamic caption? So that I have “Select Date” instead of the name of the dimension, as in this example?

No, unfortunately not. It always takes the exact name of the dimension.
However, it is something that has already been requested. See, vote and comment here: https://community.targit.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/13258331500700-Slicers-set-label-shown-in-the-drop-down-box
While I don't have any exact information about the current state of this feature request, I know it is something that will be looked into. Potentially later this year.
