You should be able to make dimension from a full table in one click in the data model editor

When you prepare data for a tabular model, you exploit the fact that tabular cubes will automatically create dimensions from dimension tables.

The name of the dimension will be the table name, and all the columns of the table are created as attribute hierarchies automatically.

In tabular models, you can then choose to hide specific attributes to avoid this for attributes that are not meant to be added as attributes in the data model.

In the datamodel editor, you must add each attribute one by one. 

I suggest to offer a shortcut like - "Turn all columns into dimension attributes" in the data model editor.
