The method behind calculation on dates should be extended to all dimensions with numeric content
When you calculate on dates in TARGIT, you set up a mask (member value), eg: DD-MM-YYYY and then TARGIT utilizes this mask to do the calculation.
This should be extended to all dimesions with complete or partial number values eg:.
- an Age dimension that presents ages in a format like 22 - 55 - 102 - the corresponding mask could be ###
- if the dimension contains text like 22 years, 55 years - 102 years - the corresponding mask could be ### ttttt
This will help users utilize their data in a more flexible way, since calculations can take place based on dimension values as well.
