Write text on objects containing no data

I have a weekly report where some objects (crosstabs and KPIs) don't contain data on Mondays. The objects say "Undefined" or "No data to display with your current selection of criteria". Is it somehow possible to write your own text on these objects instead of the two standard texts?

  • Hi Karoline,

I think changing the text is not possible - but in the new version there is an option to hide if empty result. You can find it here under properties:

  • Hi Karoline,

Marlene's comment highlights what you will probably need.

I can add that another community article also addresses this issue - including a tip on how to add alternative text.

    See the article here: https://community.targit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017863538-Hide-objects

  • Hi both,

Thanks for your answers. I will see what option fits my report the best!

  • Hi Ole,

In the classic reports there was an option in the scheduler 'send empty result' and the schedule failed if there was no data. Now with the 'new' reports the report is always sent, also with a blank result saying 'no data to display..'

How can I set the blank report not to be sent when there is no data? Now I get the status warning in the scheduler every time.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,

    Frank

  • Hi Frank,

I am on TARGIT 2021.8.25001 and when I run a batch scheduled with several (empty and non-empty) members, only the non-empty reports are generated. In my scheduled jobs list I get a warning about all the members that would generate empty results.

What version are you on? Maybe this is a question more appropriate for TARIT support?

  • Hi Ole,

    I am on Targit 2021 v.19280.

I am looking for the functionality that a report will not be sent if there is no data in the crosstable.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,

    Frank
