Lesson 6 Growth and Unit Price calculation analysis - Failed (Started: 5/28/2022 11:52 AM, Finished: 5/28/2022 11:52 AM)
Details: Unknown user: [domain\myuserid]

This user is valid and is the same account being used to log into Management Server and TARGIT Desktop as a designer using Windows credentials.

User has rights to Schedule and Export Jobs.

I switched to regular security model and it succeeded with DEMO user.

  • Hi Karl,

I have seen this error as well for scheduled jobs.

To me it happens when running Windows Security on a locally installed TARGIT server. When I am in the office (or otherwise logged on to my workplace domain), I do not see the problem. But when I am at home or other places where I cannot log on to my workplace domain, the problem occurs as you describe it.

So it has something to do with authentication of the user/service running the scheduled job is not possible when you are not logged on to your domain.

  • Got it, thanks for confirming Ole.  No major concern here.  As you said, I'm just training on a personal laptop and not actually joined to the domain, so that explains it.

  • For the very same reason, my local installations are very often not running Windows Security, but instead Standard Security.
