Drill down: Highlight instead of filter - for benchmarking

In comparison/benchmark-style dashboards, where you have several chart/table objects that rank the same dimension (Store Location, for example) by different metrics – I want to drill-select a member/store location in one object and have it highlighted in the other objects so I can compare where it ranks for those metrics…rather than those objects filtering down to just show the single member I selected.
