Implications for using extensions in Targit Data Model Editor

What is the correct usage of the extensions in DME? What is the purpose of this feature? I tried to use it for a better separation of schema's. This is what i did. add extension add two facttables...

I have the same question as new Targit developer for the company of my emailadress. Especially what the implications are when using the same dimensions in two extensions.
