Combining facttables over dimensions is killing performance and a no-go in standard reporting. Is Targit working differently?

3. What are "extensions" in the world of ETL Studio and Data Model Editor?

I have the same question as new Targit developer for the company of my emailadress. Especially what the implications are when using the same dimensions in two extensions.
