What is TARGIT?
TARGIT, or the TARGIT Decision Suite, is a Business Intelligence tool.
As with most other Business Intelligence solutions, its purpose is to make business critical data available to decision makers in a form that is easy to understand and to navigate and thereby reduce actions made on gut feeling and guesswork alone.
Instead, with TARGIT, decision makers can start make data-driven business decisions.
Typical usage of TARGIT
Consumers
Most TARGIT users, what we call Consumer users, will be using a browser or a smartphone or a tablet to open dashboards containing up-to-date data from your organization - whether that is Sales data, Finance data, HR data, Inventory data or all other types of data that is critical for your organization's decision-making.
With a dashboard, the Consumer user can explore the available data by slicing, dicing and filtering the data.
It is also possible to export data from the dashboard to Excel or PDF.
Designers
With the TARGIT Designer client, as a Designer user, you will be able explore your data even further by designing your own dashboards and reports.
You may pick data from an already existing data warehouse in your organization, or you may use the Data Discovery module to add ad-hoc data, e.g., Excel sheets, CSV files, SQL DB data, REST API data etc.
Furthermore, in an organization, the Designer user's role is to create and design the dashboards and reports required by the Consumer users for their daily, data-driven decision making.
Automation
Another core feature of TARGIT is the ability to schedule data for automated distribution. In this way, reports with data from TARGIT may be send directly to the decision maker's inbox.
