TARGIT Reports are one of several document types you can create with the TARGIT Designer client. The other primary type is the Dashboard, but you can also build, for example, Slideshow documents.

The main purpose of a TARGIT Report is typically to design a layout optimized for printing in A4 or Letter format. In practice, however, the output is most often exported as a PDF rather than physically printed.

TARGIT Reports are also widely used in combination with Scheduled Jobs to automate the distribution of critical data. With Scheduled Jobs, you can configure a TARGIT Report (or any other document type) to be delivered automatically—for example, once a week—as a PDF attachment sent to a list of recipients by email.
