[Cloud release: 2025.08.20]
[On-prem release: 2025 October]
[On-prem build: 25.10.10001]
For relational database connections, e.g., TARGIT InMemory connections, the date format of dimensions created from DATETIME data sources has traditionally been determined by the regional settings of the server.
However, in some environments, especially in TARGIT Cloud environments, you may not be able to change the server's regional settings. With this version, you will be able to configure the ROLAP connection to use 'User language' for formatting these dates instead.
The setting is located in 'Additional settings' of the Connection Properties dialog as 'Formatting of members':
The setting will default to “Use server language” on existing connections, and to “Use user language” on new connections.
When set to "Use user language", the date format of DATETIME dimensions is determined by the language setting in the TARGIT client.
TARGIT Designer client language setting: Client language
TARGIT Anywhere client language setting: The Anywhere client's language is determined by the browser's language setting.
