Sorting your data

To sort or reorder data in a crosstab, click the sorting arrow in the column header you want to sort by. If the sorting arrow isn't visible, it will appear once you move you mouse cursor on top of the column header.

Click the sorting arrow multiple times to toggle between ascending sort order, descending sort order, or no sort order.

If you have sorted your data by one column, you can hold down the CTRL key to create a secondary sort order on one of the other columns.

Note: You can only change the sorting order of your rows with this method. Columns cannot be sorted.

Tip: To change the sort order in a chart, you will need to switch to 'Show data' (show crosstab) first, and then sort the data as described above before switching back to the chart.
