TARGIT Anywhere - overview

The TARGIT Anywhere client is used by the TARGIT Consumer user to open existing documents - dashboards and reports - that have been stored on the TARGIT Server.

The TARGIT Anywhere client does not allow creation and editing of existing documents. For this, you will need the TARGIT Designer client. What is the TARGIT Designer client?

With the TARGIT Anywhere client, the Consumer user is limited to these general actions:

• Opening existing documents, dashboards and reports.
• Applying filters to these documents.
• Exporting data to Excel or PDF.

The TARGIT Anywhere client is what is known as a zero footprint application. I.e. the end user does not need to install anything on the client machine. All the necessary installations are done on the server and the end user will just need to know the correct URL address to type into the browser.

For the Consumer user, to access the Anywhere client in a browser, type in the address for the Anywhere client, e.g.,  http://localhost/anywhere

Note: Replace [localhost] with the server name or IP address of your server.
