Waterfall Chart - initial and ultimate values

To really take advantage of the waterfall chart in TARGIT, you may need to tweak it quite a bit.

This video tutorial will show you a waterfall chart that includes:

  • Setting up initial and ultimate values
  • A Top 10 list, plus a "values of the rest" category
  • Making sure that values and labels behave correctly

  • Perhaps it could work if you included a filler user dimension right after your first end value (subtotal) equal to -[End Value]. You could make the color invisible and not include any label or mouse over values.

  • Could you make an example of this?

In my understanding the chart will always start at the ulitmo value and if I were to a subtotal I need to do this in same way as the end value. So in order for the waterfall to start again at the right point I need to make reverse bar. If I "hide" this there you be a hole in waterfall. Is this correct?

  • Is it possible to make subtotals? I guess you do like an end value, but do you do next?

For an example like in a profit and loss statement
