Icon Package SVG files

The Icon Packages SVG files are icon packages provided by TARGIT - to be used for free by TARGIT customers. The icons are created as scalable vector graphics, and are suitable for e.g., menus, text boxes, image objects, etc.

The package currently contains more than 50 icons, and more icons are added regularly.

Tips on editing the SVG Icon files

After downloading the Icon Package, you may want to modify the icons to match the brand and style guidelines in your own organization.

Generally, the icons in the package have been designed with these settings:

  • Stroke width = 3
  • Stroke color = black (#000000) or creme white (#fbf9f7)
  • Fill color = black (#000000) or creme white (#fbf9f7)

In most cases, these are also the three properties you will want to edit to match your organization's brand and style guidelines.

To edit an SVG icon, you will need an SVG editor. Many tools are available, online tools as well as on-prem tools, e.g., Adobe Illustrator, InkScape, Boxy SVG, etc. Some tools require subscription, others are available for free.

In the following examples, I have used Boxy SVG's online app (https://boxy-svg.com/app).

To change the Stroke Width and Stroke Color of an icon, first select the path of the icon (click the outline of the icon), then adjust the stroke color and stroke width properties accordingly:

Some of the icons also have a Fill property. To change the Fill Color, first select the path of the icon (click the outline of the icon), then adjust the fill color property accordingly:

  • Is it just me not being able to find it, or is there not a simple way to import and store icons? Do I need to keep these in a local folder, and then import every single one I need, each time I want to use them?

  • Hi Simon,

The packages are just something we offer for you to use as you like.

As a Designer user I would probably just download and unpack these images to my pictures folder on my local PC.

You will then use them as you need them in Image objects, in Text Box objects, in Menu objects, etc.

These images are not meant to be "installed" or "imported" in your TARGIT environment.
